About me
I’m Stephen Lawson, a Scottish architectural photographer based in Limassol, Cyprus, working with clients across Europe. My passion lies in capturing the beauty, form, and character of the built environment — from modern architectural masterpieces to thoughtfully designed interiors.
Specialising in architectural photography, interior design photography, real estate photography and drone photography in Cyprus, I help architects, developers, designers, and property professionals present their projects in the best possible light. Whether it's showcasing a completed luxury villa, documenting a construction project in progress, or creating atmospheric cityscapes, my goal is always the same: to deliver striking, professional images that meet my clients' needs and satisfy my creative drive.
My journey into photography began while working as an editor for one of Europe’s best-selling magazines at the UK’s largest publishing house. There, I collaborated with top photographers to craft bold, distinctive visual stories that stood out on newsstands. That experience shaped my understanding of composition, lighting, and editorial storytelling — skills I now apply to every architectural and interior shoot.
I later refined my craft through a fine art photography course focused on the built environment at Berlin Art Institute, earning high praise for my work on urban architecture in Limassol. This inspired me to launch my own architectural photography business in Cyprus, initially specialising in luxury real estate photography.
Since then, I’ve trained with a leading American architectural photographer featured in the Wall Street Journal and National Geographic, mastering advanced lighting techniques for high-end property photography. I firmly believe that even the most stunning interiors and exteriors need expertly crafted lighting and impeccable timing to transform a simple photograph into an image with real impact.
